9.3.4 – CHECKING THE FLEXIBLE
COUPLINGS
In order to check the wear on the pump
coupling (C), remove the pump guard as
stated in the previous paragraph.
Check for play by moving it manually. If
play exists, it should be replaced. In order
to replace the coupling, unscrew the two
grub screws (B), the 4 nuts (D) and
remove the pump support with the pump
(P) still attached and remove the two
couplings (C). Replace the complete
coupling and replace all the components
via reversal of the removal procedure.
9.3.5 – CHECKING THE HEIGHT OF
THE DRIVE ROLLER
The drive roller height should be checked
every six months; the inspection is
performed by looking inside the hopper to
check that there is a clearance of at least
5mm between the feed roller and the
bottom of the hopper. If the height needs
to be adjusted, refer to chapter 6.
