CAUTION
Check the tools for wear every day and replace them if they are worn.
9.3.1 –
CLEANING THE SHREDDER
Remove the discharge chute (A) by unscrewing the four nuts (C)
and the respective bolts (B). Remove any material residues,
paying attention to the machines cutting elements.

Handle the cutting tools with extreme caution.
9.3.2 –
INSPECTION AND REPLACEMENT OR SHARPENING
OF BLADES
The blades should be checked before each session of use. For
the machine to work efficiently and avoid damage, the blades
must be sharp and correctly fitted (fig. 7). The lifespan of the
cutting edge of the blade depends on the nature and type of
material being shredded. It is impossible to provide exact data on
this subject, but if the machine is being used to shred materials
that contains dust, sand, earth, etc., the cutting edges of the
blades will rapidly become blunt.
