7.7.3 Sealed Bearing Installation
a. Clean shaft and coat with rust preventative.

b. Install
flangette
(A),
flangette (C) and lock collar (D).
The locking cam is only on one side of the
bearing.
c. Install (but do not tighten) the flangette bolts (E).
d. When the shaft is correctly located, lock the lock
collar with a punch.
The collar should be locked in the same
direction the shaft rotates. Tighten the set
screw in the collar.
e. Tighten the flangette bolts.
f.
Loosen the flangette bolts on the mating bearing
one turn and re-tighten. This will allow the
bearing to line up.
