SYMPTOM
Auger carrying crop over back onto
reel (continued).
Reel will not turn.
Max reel speed too slow.
Reel speed is uneven in heavy crop.
Reel causes seed loss.
(e.g. grass seed).
Auger will not turn.
Header lift insufficient.
Auger carries crop around back and
forward over top of auger.
Header suddenly stops turning.

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
Auger speed too fast.
Excessive Auger/Stripper
clearance.
Control(s) set at 0 (922 & 933).
Quick couplers not properly
connected.
Reel drive chain disconnected.
One reel drive coupler not
properly connected.
Tall crop hairpinned at leanbar,
causing reel to stall.
Reel speed too slow.
Reel tines hitting ground.
Relief pressure too low.
Relief valve malfunction.
Uneven cutting of crop.
Reel speed too fast.
Header angle too steep, causing
tines to contact ground.
Reel not correctly positioned.
Loose belt.
Low relief pressure.
Dirt build up on auger pan at
stripper bars and on hay
conditioner feed pan.
Auger/Stripper bar clearance is
too great.
Auger speed too fast.
Delivery of crop into hay
conditioner from conditioner
feed pan is too high.
Ineffective crop stripping action
beneath auger.
Auger and or hay conditioner
plugged.

SOLUTION
Reduce auger speed. Obtain larger
gearbox pulley from dealer.
Reposition auger to proper clearance
to strippers.
Activate reel speed control.
Check coupler connections.
Connect chain.
Check coupler connections.
Install tall crop kit with lean bar
extensions.
Increase reel speed.
Decrease header angle.
Increase relief pressure.
Replace relief valve.
See section "Ragged & Uneven
Cutting"
Adjust flow control on tractor.
Flatten header angle, and check
header float.
Lower reel speed, move reel
rearward, as close as possible to
auger, and downward as close as
possible to knife and pan.
Tighten auger drive belt.
Increase relief pressure.
Remove all dirt build up in header.
Reposition auger to close clearance
with stripper bars.
Reduce auger speed by changing
drive pulley.
Lower feed pan rock drop tines.
Install long (full length) front stripper.
Turn mechanism in reverse with
unplug wrench to remove wad.
