operating system, the HDDs are in AHCI mode instead of RAID and each drive acts independently.

Description
Select an operation mode for the onboard SATA controller.
Options: Disabled, IDE Mode, AHCI Mode (default), or RAID Mode
Indicates the SATA HDD connected to the SATA connector.
Enables or disables hot plug support for the SATA port.
Options: Enabled (default) or Disabled
IMPORTANT: Make sure all writes to HDD are complete before your remove the
HDD from the system to avoid risk of data corruption.
Enables or disables eSATA port.
Options: Enabled (default) or Disabled
