Before the measurement
Do not eat, drink alcohol, smoke, exercise or take a bath and relax for 5-10 minutes before
carrying out a blood pressure measurement. All these factors influence the measurement
FR
result. Remove any clothing which fit close to the arm. Always use the same arm for the
measurement (normally the left arm). Always conduct the measurement regularly at the same
time of the day as the blood pressure changes during the day
IT
Factors that can lead to incorrect measurements
Everything that supports the arm during measurement can increase the blood pressure. Make
ES
sure that you are in a comfortable position and do not move your arm during the measurement.
If necessary, you can place a cushion under the arm to be measured If the arm artery is lower
or higher than the heart this will lead to an incorrect measurement result.
NL
Note:
Only use the Promed HGP-50 with an intact cuff.
RU
A loose cuff or a defective cuff with an exposed bladder leads to wrong measured values.
In the event of repeated measurements, blood is accumulated in the arm arteries which
may result in wrong measured values. Continuing blood pressure measurements should be
repeated after a waiting period of at least 1 minute. It is important to hold the arm upwards in
PL
order to ensure that the accumulated blood can drain.
TR
Note:
Do not use the Promed HGP-50 on a wrist with wounds or other injuries.
