Jacking points (example: Saloon)
The jacking points are located just behind the
front wheel arches and just in front of the rear
wheel arches (arrows).
AMG vehicles and vehicles with AMG
equipment: to protect the vehicle body, the
vehicle has covers fitted next to the jacking
points on the outer sills.
Cover, front (example: vehicles with AMG sports
package)
AMG vehicles and vehicles with AMG

equipment: fold cover = upwards.
Position jack A at jacking point ?.

Changing a wheel
Make sure that the base of the jack is posi-
X
tioned vertically under the jacking point.
Turn crank B clockwise until jack A sits
X
completely on jacking point ?. The base of
the jack must lie evenly on the ground.
Turn crank B until the tyre is raised a max-
X
imum of 3 cm off the ground.
Removing a wheel
! AMG vehicles: during removal and repo-
sitioning of the wheel, the wheel rim can
strike the ceramic-brake disc and damage
it. Therefore, take precautions and have a
second person assist you. Alternatively,
you can use a second centring pin.
! Do not place wheel bolts in sand or dirt.
The threads of the wheel bolts and wheel
hubs could otherwise be damaged when
the bolts are tightened.
Unscrew the uppermost wheel bolt com-

pletely.
Screw centring pin : into the thread
X
instead of the wheel bolt.
