After upgrading the Oracle Linux OS to UEK 3, you might receive "vpd r/w failed" messages
upon issuing functional check commands, such as dmesg and lspci.
Workaround:
None. Ignore these messages as they do not adversely affect the functionality of the universal
HBA.

operation might time out during the process with the following messages:
