AMS management takeover of non-managed nodes

Run the AMS take-ownership process, using the VxFlex OS GUI and the AMS CLI.
Before you begin
Ensure that:
The servers for the VxFlex OS GUI and the VxFlex Ready Node AMS meet the
l
system requirements described in "System requirements."
The non-AMS-managed system is compatible. For more information, see
l
management takeover compatibility
You know the IP ranges for the existing:
l
Management IP addresses for all nodes and storage VM (SVM, if applicable)
n
Data IP addresses for all nodes and SVM (if applicable)
n
iDRAC IP addresses
n
You know the credentials for the following:
l
MDM admin user (or LDAP admin user)
n
iDRAC
n
Storage virtual machine (SVM, if applicable)
n
Host (ESXi/Linux)
n
Data IP addresses
n
Monitor user (if using LDAP)
n
All nodes must be reachable.
l
In the AMS setup, the default is to use the same credentials (AMS, management,
l
SVM, and iDRAC) for each node. To assign different credentials per node/SVM,
prepare a CSV, as described in
261.
About this task
To run the take-ownership process, you must do the following:
1. Install the VxFlex OS GUI.
2. Install the VxFlex Ready Node AMS.
3. Use the VxFlex OS GUI to perform the AMS initial setup.
4. Run and AMS CLI command to perform the take-ownership process.
Procedure
1. Install the VxFlex OS GUI:
EMC-ScaleIO-gui-3.0-<build>.X.msi
