Setting credentials for existing Monitor users

Changing login credentials for existing Management users

Using the VxFlex OS GUI, configure credentials for a single local Monitor user, or for
an LDAP group with Monitor privileges.
Before you begin
Administrator privileges are required to configure the local Monitor user.
If the Monitor user is an LDAP group, ensure that the LDAP group is also configured
with Monitor privileges.
Ensure that you can authenticate to the VxFlex OS GUI with an admin user.
About this task
Configure Monitor User settings to create login credentials for either a single local
user with Monitor-only access privileges, or for an LDAP group with Monitor access
privileges. The default setting is the Admin user.
Procedure
1. From the System Settings menu at the top right side of the window, select the
System Settings option.
The System Settings window is displayed.
2. In the left panel, click Technical Users.
The Set Credentials for Existing Technical Users panel is displayed on the
right side of the window.

3. In the User name box, type the local or LDAP user name that has Monitor
privileges.
4. In the Password box, type the password.
5. Click Save.
Results
The Monitor User credentials have been defined in the system.
Use the VxFlex OS GUI to change login credentials for the host Operating System
user, SVM user, and BMC (iDRAC) user.
Before you begin
About this task
The host operating system user, SVM user, and BMC (iDRAC) user credentials are
configured during initial system deployment. If you need to change any of them, do so
using the VxFlex OS GUI.
Procedure
1. From the System Settings menu at the top right side of the window, select the
System Settings option.
The System Settings window is displayed.
