Intensive baking
This setting is particularly useful for baking cakes and dishes with a crisp
base and a moist topping such as Quiche Lorraine, pizza and other cakes
where the base has not been pre-baked.
This setting is not suitable for baking biscuits or for roasting.
Floor heating
Use this setting towards the end of baking if a crisp base is required.
Roof heating
Heat from the top element can be used to brown dishes, or finish dishes
with a cheese topping, etc.
Roof and floor heating
It is only necessary to pre-heat the oven in this mode:
when baking cakes and biscuits for only a short time
when using tricky types of dough and baking mixtures
for roast beef and expensive cuts of meat.
De-frosting
Air at room temperature is circulated to de-frost food quickly.
Hot air grilling
This setting lends itself to grilling items with a large diameter such as
rolled joints of meat, poultry, etc.
Grilling should take place with the oven door shut.
Grilling
This mode is particularly useful:
for grilling flat cuts of meat such as chops and steak
when grilling with the rotisserie
Grilling should take place with the oven door shut.
Note:
When selecting functions requiring a temperature, both the temperature
and the function selector should be set. If a setting is required where the
oven cavity remains cold, e.g. for de-frosting and lighting, the
temperature regulator should not be turned.
