Revert the AMS ESXi ISO Image to a native ESXi Image

3. On the System Setup Main Menu screen, select Device Settings
Controller in Slot 2: BOSS-S1 Configuration Utility.
4. On the BOSS-S1 Configuration Utility screen, select Physical/Virtual Disk
Information to verify the disk configuration.
5. On the BOSS-S1 Configuration Utility > Operation Menu screen, select
Physical Disk Info as the Device Output Type, and then press Enter.
The physical disk information should display two expansion card devices
configured to the server.
6. Select Virtual Disk Info as the Device Output Type, and then press Enter.
The configuration should show one virtual disk in a degraded RAID state
configured on the server.
7. Click Back.
8. On the BOSS-S1 Configuration Utility screen, select Rebuild Raid.
The RAID 1 virtual disk is rebuilt.
9. On the Virtual Disk Information screen, verify that the settings are configured
as follows:
RAID Level: RAID1
l
Stripe Size: 64 K
l
Virtual Disk Size: 111 GB
l
Name: OS
l
Would you like to create this virtual disk: Yes
l
10. Exit System Setup and boot to the OS.
Results
The BOSS-S1 Configuration Utility > Operation Menu screen displays one virtual
disk with the specified name.
In non-AMS installations, for example when using the ScaleIO plug-in, it is
recommended that you install the ESXi ISO image based on the EMC Simple Support
Matrix (ESSM). In the event that you do not have the ESXi ISO version to install, you
can revert the factory-installed AMS ESXi ISO image to a native ESXi image.
Procedure
1. From any web browser, connect to the vSphere host client using the IP address
of the host machine.
2. If a notification appears, informing you that the connection is untrusted, add a
security exception for the site, according to the instructions for the browser
you are using.
The Vmware ESXi Welcome window appears.
3. Click the Open the Vmware Host Client link.
The vSphere host client log in window appears.
4. Enter the following credentials, and then click Log In:
