ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Outer Wing Frames

1. Install outer wing frames to inner wing frames using
1-1/4-7 x 7 hex head cap screws, and hex lock nuts
See Figure 3-6
Note the direction of bolts as
shown in Figure 3-6. Use flat washers on the front
mount but not the middle or rear hinge.
2. Support the outer ends of the outer wing frames with
stands approximately 36" tall.
3. Connect the radius rod to the cylinder lift arm, and
the cylinder ends which have been disconnected for
shipping.
4. Install the 6-bolt tire/wheel assemblies on the inner
wing lift assembly.
NOTE
Do not connect fold cylinders until system has been
charged with oil.
5. The wing fold links (p/n 174447) must be installed
parallel and as close to the wing frame hinge
weldement as possible without gouging into the
square bars welded on the hinge Hydraulic
Installation(See "Hydraulic Installation" on
page
3-14.). Washers need to be either added or
removed as needed to obtain the close and parallel
assembly.
6. The 1-1/4-7 x 7 hex head cap screw (p/n 100545)
must be installed loose enough so that the screw can
be turned by hand. This screw must not be
over-tightened so as to cause the hinge assembly to
bind.

NOTE
All tire/wheel assemblies are mounted with the valve
stem facing outward.

Wing Gauge Wheel Installation

1. Remove the shipping u-bolts and nuts from front of
the gauge wheel extension mounts
2. Attach the gauge wheel assemblies to the front of the
center frame with 3/4 x 5-1/2 bolts and 5/8 locknuts.
3. Connect the radius rod assembly to the front of the
gauge wheel lift tube with the installed 1 x 7-1/2 bolts
and 1 locknut. Connect the front of the radius rod
assembly to the top of the gauge wheel links with 1 x
7-1/2 bolt and 1 locknut. Initially set the radius rod
assembly to 21" centers.
4. Install 6-bolt tire/wheel assemblies on the gauge
wheel assemblies.
