6.1 MOUNTING OF SHRINK DISC

For the gearboxes delivered with shrink disc (KR Series with option "S" and MP/TR Series with option "MB") the
tightening torque for the screws is indicated below.

Distortion and brute forces can damage
the gear unit. Do not apply brute forces
to mount machine elements. Use appro-
priate tools to mount machine elements
on the output shaft. (e.g. Shaft puller with
threaded bolt (1) and washer (2)).
Mount transmission elements with an
asymetrical hub as shown in scheme (A)
to optimize the bearing lifetime.
