Replacing the motor components
The following motor components can be replaced when required.
• Bearing
• Encoder
• Sensor Module (SMI20)
• Terminal box
• Terminal block
• Stator
• Rotor
• NDE shield
• DE shield
• Shaft sealing ring
• O-ring
• Wave spring
• External fan
Note
The external fan can be replaced by the customers themselves or by appropriately trained
Siemens service personnel.
For other components, the replacement can only be implemented by appropriately trained
Siemens service personnel.
Replacing the external fan
Before replacing the fan, proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the motor and fan.
2. Disconnect both of them from the power supply by disconnecting all phases.
3. Ensure that they both cannot be accidentally switched on again.
4. Once the voltage has been disconnected on all poles, wait for 5 minutes before touching the
device.
5. Allow the motor and fan to cool down.
Proceed through the steps as illustrated below to remove the fan from the motor. To
reassemble the fan, proceed in reverse order.
