EdgeStore NAS400 User Manual

Viewing the NAS Replication Schedule

NAS Replication is a feature that uses one EdgeStore to backup the data on
another EdgeStore. The two EdgeStore systems must be on the same network.
To view the NAS Replication schedule:
1.
In the Tree, click the + beside the Backup icon.
2.
Click the NAS Replication icon.
The current schedule displays on the Information tab.
Role:
Standalone – No backup server was specified
Primary Server – This EdgeStore is the primary, the other EdgeStore is
the backup
Backup Server – This EdgeStore is the backup, the other EdgeStore is
the primary
Primary or Backup Server – The IP address of the other EdgeStore on
the network.
Schedule – Replication schedule in number of hours, daily or weekly.
Appears on the primary server.

Setting up NAS Replication

To set up NAS replication:
1.
In the Tree, click the + beside the Backup icon.
2.
Click the NAS Replication icon.
3.
Click the Setup tab.
4.
Under Settings, click the option button to assign a role to this EdgeStore:
Standalone – Use this option when you only have one EdgeStore on
your network. This is the default setting and it disables NAS Replication.
Primary – This EdgeStore is the primary and the other EdgeStore is the
backup server.
Backup Server – The other EdgeStore is the primary and this
EdgeStore is the backup server.
5.
Optional. If you chose Primary or Backup Server, type the IP address of the
other EdgeStore on your network.
