Test pattern for dynamic main beam
Note
For dynamic main beam test pattern, headlights need to be

reset to basic settings using vehicle diagnosis tester .
The basic settings can only be reset using vehicle diagnostic
♦
tester . After resetting, DLA main beam distribution is actuated
automatically.
Pay special attention to correct alignment of the adjustment
♦
sighting device on the headlight adjuster. Only when this has
been done can you adjust the headlights to ensure that they
do not dazzle other road users.
Vehicles with air suspension must be loaded prior to resetting
♦
to basic settings.
On vehicles with DLA, adjustment of the main road light (dip‐
♦
ped beam) can be checked as an alternative.
Caution
If using headlight adjusting unit -VAS 5209A- , only observe
the reading in the graphic display of the adjusting unit.
The test pattern in the headlight adjusting unit does not apply.
