The netstat command
The netstat command displays current TCP/IP network connections and
protocol statistics.
Netstat command syntax
The netstat command uses the following syntax:
netstat [-a] [-e] [-n] [-s] [-p proto] [-r] [interval]

To run the netstat command from Windows

Click Start
Result: The Command Prompt window appears.

At the Command prompt, type netstat with the required
parameters.

Description
Displays all connections and listening ports.
Displays Ethernet statistics. This can be combined with
the -s option.
Displays addresses and port numbers in numeric form.
Displays statistics for each protocol.
Shows connections for the protocol specified by proto.
Proto can be TCP or UDP. If used with the -s option,
proto can be TCP, UDP, or IP.
Displays the contents of the routing table.
Redisplays selected statistics, pausing between each
display. Press Ctrl+C to stop redisplaying.
