5.1

Tool starting

Before operating the tool, wear adequate clothing (see picture C) and check that all the safety devices are well assembled
and can work properly.
WARNING!
Start the tool only when it is inserted among the branches. Any improper use damages the tool and causes
excessive battery power consumption.
Use the tool only for the aims described in par. "Product description". Any other use may cause injuries.
All information about the tool use and operation can be found in the Use and Maintenance Manual of the chosen
power unit.
After the first 8 working hours, check the tightening of the cover screws.
5.2

Tool stopping

At the end of the work session switch the tool off according to the information about the tool use and operation in the use
and maintenance manual of the chosen power unit.
5.3

Troubleshooting

WARNING!
All the special maintenance operations shall be carried out by a qualified mechanic.

6.1

Routine maintenance

WARNING!
Before any routine maintenance operations, secure the harvesting head (2). If it is assembled on the tool, switch
the tool off (see the chosen power unit manual), disconnect the power supply cable and then remove the head
from the extension pole.
All maintenance operations which are not described in this manual shall be carried out only by Authorised
Service Points.
Routine maintenance operations can be carried out by the operators.
6.1.1

In general

Before carrying out any routine maintenance operation:
Select the OFF mode of the power unit ON/OFF switch.
Wear protective anti-perforation gloves.
Remove the harvesting head from the extension pole.

CAUSE
Dirt and/or wear and tear of the inner
rotating parts.
Wear and tear of the rotating parts.
Wrong tightening of the rake fixing
screws.
Flat battery.
Flat battery.
Motor overheating due to thick trees.
Exceeded current limits.
REMEDY
Carry out the harvesting head (2) cleaning and
maintenance operations.
Carry out the harvesting head (2) cleaning and
maintenance operations.
Tighten the screws.
Recharge the battery (see the Use and Maintenance
Manual of the chosen power unit).
Recharge the battery (see the Use and Maintenance

Get out of the tree branches, wait for few seconds
and then re-start the tool by means of the ON/OFF
switch

chosen power unit).
