Drive Roller Replacement

About

This procedure is to be used to replace the Drive Roller while maintaining the current Drive
Belt tension and Drive Roller install position.
Specialized Tools
Two running belt tension gauges, Precor part number 20007-101, are required.
CAUTION: Only use hand tools to adjust tension. Power tools can easily over
and/or under tension causing damage to the belt and/or tension hardware mech-
anism.

Procedure

Review entire procedure before starting.
Removal
1. Switch the power OFF and
2. Remove the hood cover. Retain part(s) and/or fastener(s) for installation.
3. Remove the endcaps and belt guards from the rear of treadmill to expose the take-up
roller mounting bolts. Retain part(s) and/or fastener(s) for installation.
4. Relax the running belt tension by loosening the left and right 1/4" hex key tension
adjustment bolts. Alternately loosen the left and right adjustment bolts in 1/4 turn
increments so that the running belt tension is evenly removed. Only use hand tools
and not power tools which could cause damage to the take-up roller tension mech-
anism.
CAUTION: Only use hand tools to adjust tension. Power tools can easily over
and/or under tension causing damage to the belt and/or tension hardware mech-
anism.

Disconnect a device power cord plug or cable connector from the power receptacle or out-
let.
