ONDERHOUD

Zijborstels

De functie van de zijborstels is het verwijderen
van vuil uit hoeken en langs randen en dit
losgemaakte vuil binnen het bereik van de
hoofdborstel brengen.

Afstelling zijborstels

De zijborstels moeten op de grond een spoor
achterlaten zoals in tekening 8 te zien is.
Naarmate de borstelharen versleten raken, dient
u de hoogte vanaf de vloer bij te stellen zodat het
spoor gelijk blijft.
Ga hiervoor als volgt te werk:
- draai moer 1 los en verplaats schroef 2 een
paar millimeter naar beneden (tek. 9).
- met schroef 2 bepaalt u de hoogte van de
borstel.
- Hierna controleert u of de borstels goed
werken en een spoor achter
laten zoals in tek. 8 te zien is.
De zijborstels zijn zwevend en uitgerust met
beschermschijven 3 (tek. 9). Wanneer de borstels
in aanraking komen met vaste voorwerpen
(muurtjes, kolommen enz.) draait schijf 3, de
gehele borstelgroep wordt ingetrokken en vermijdt
stoten. Op deze manier wordt de borstel niet
beschadigd.
Vevanging zijborstels
- Draai schroef 6 los en verwijder de borstel
met schijf 4 van de vertraging.
- Verwijder de vier moeren 5 (tek. 9) en de
borstel komt los van schijf 4.
- Na het monteren van de nieuwe borstel
opnieuw de afstelling uitvoeren.

MAINTENANCE

Side Brushes

The side brushes sweep dirt from the edges of
floors and from corners, and direct it to the centre
of the sweeper where it can be picked up by the
main brush.

Adjusting the side brushes

Check that the shapes of the traces left by the side
brushes are as shown in fig.8.
As the bristles of the side brushes wear down,
adjust the height of the brushes from the floor to
maintain these traces.
Proceed as follows to adjust the side brushes:
• Slacken off nut 1, and slide screw 2 down its
slot a few millimetres fig.9.
• The position of screw 2 determines the height
to which the side brushes are lowered.
• Run the brushes and check that the traces they
leave are as shown in fig.8.
The side brushes are protected by safety disc 3
(fig. 9). When they come into contact with
unmovable objects (such as pillars, walls, etc.)
disc 3 turns and the brush unit retracts, avoiding
knocks.This ensures that the brushes are not
damaged.

Replacing the side brushes

• Unscrew screw 6 to remove the brush and
disc 4 from the gear unit.
• Unscrew the four nuts 5 (fig. 9) and the brush
comes away from its support.
• Repeat the adjustment procedures after fitting
the new brush.

Cepillos laterales

Los cepillos laterales cumplen la función de
limpiar la suciedad en esquinas y bordes y
transportarla hasta el centro del recorrido del
cepillo central.
Ajuste de los cepillos laterales
Los cepillos laterales deben dejar un rastro en el
suelo, tal y como se indica en el dibujo (fig. 8).
Para obtener este resultado, es necesario ajustar
la altura desde el suelo a medida que se desgastan
las cerdas del cepillo.
Actuar del siguiente modo:
• aflojar la tuerca 1 y desplazar hacia abajo
algunos milímetros el tornillo 2 (fig. 9).
• El tornillo 2 desempeña la función de parar
la bajada del cepillo.
• Después de esta operación, controlar que los
cepillos funcionen correctamente dejando un
rastro como se indica en la figura 8.
Los cepillos laterales son flotantes y están dotados
de discos de protección 3 (fig. 9). Cuando entran
en contacto con cuerpos rígidos (tales como
columnas, muros, etc.), el disco 3 gira y la unidad
cepillo entra evitando el choque.
De este modo, el cepillo no resulta dañado.
Sustitución cepillos laterales
• Quitar el tornillo 6 y el cepillo con disco 4 se
separa del reductor.
• Aflojar las cuatro tuercas 5 (fig. 9) y el cepillo
se separa del disco 4.
• Después de montar el cepillo nuevo, efectuar
nuevamente las operaciones de ajuste.
