Powering the XW Transmitter

Once the antenna and probe are installed the XW Transmitter may be powered on.
The XW Transmitter can be powered using two alkaline C-Cell batteries, the external M8 connector, or both. The XW
Transmitter automatically switches from the internal batteries to the external power if available. If the external power is
removed, the XW Transmitter switches back to the internal batteries.

Installing Batteries

To install the batteries, follow these steps:
Step 1:
Unscrew the lid of the transmitter using a Philips-head screwdriver and open the device.
Note:
The battery orientation is marked on the battery holders and is shown in Figure 5.
Step 2:
Install the supplied alkaline C-Cell batteries.

Removing Batteries

Step 1:
Insert a screwdriver under the battery on the right and gently loosen it. See Figure 5.
Step 2:
After removing the battery on the right first, you will have room to remove the remaining battery.
Caution:
Use only 1.5V alkaline batteries in the XW Transmitter. Other battery chemistries may damage your device
or lead to reduced battery life.
