10.0 Troubleshooting

The ATMOS A / C 161 / 261 Aspirator was subjected to a thorough quality control in the factory. If there is, nevertheless, some
malfunction, you possibly might solve this problem yourself if you observe the following instructions.
Error symptom
• Device does not start
• Insufficient flow
• 1. Low or no vacuum is
displayed
• 2. High vacuum is
indicated
• The device switches off
automatically when it is
switched on.

Possible cause
- Power plug fits poorly.
- No mains voltage
- Leakage in the hose or in the canister lid
- Hydrophobic DDS bacterial and viral filter
is blocked. (vacuum gauge indicates
vacuum)
- 1.1 Hydrophobic DDS bacterial and viral
filter is missing
- 1.2 Leakages within the hose or in the
canister lid
- 1.3 Secretion or blood was sucked in
and the valve plates of the aggregate are
stuck together
- 2.1 Hydrophobic DDS bacterial and viral
filter is blocked.
- 2.2 The float of the overflow protection
seals the suction lid inlet
- Applied vacuum (over 40%)
Remedy
- Check connection at wall socket
- Check the main fuse
- Check the power plug on perfect fit at
the device.
- Check the canister lid and hose for tight
fit.
- Exchange the hydrophobic DDS bacterial
and viral filter
- Insert the hydrophobic DDS bacterial and
viral filter
- Check the canister lid and hose for tight
fit.
- Connect the filter once again to the
connection nozzle
- Check the suction lid for tight fit.
- In this case, the device must be sent in
for repair.
- Change the hydrophobic DDS bacterial
and viral filter
- Check suction lid inlet; if necessary
empty the rinsing canister, clean the
oversuction protection and check the
float ball for flexibility.
- Vent the vacuum, then restart
