Installation - Union ends with insert:
CAUTION
Damage to the butterfl y valve!
® Only use solvent cement suitable for
the butterfl y valve body.
The solvent cement is not included
in the scope of delivery!
1. Screw the threaded connections into
the piping in accordance with valid
standards.
Loosening the union nut
2. Unscrew union nut 1 from butterfl y valve
body 2.
3. Reinsert O-ring 3 if necessary.
4. Insert the insert 4 in the union nut 1.
Assembling on a piping
5. Solvent cement the union nut 1 with the
insert on the piping 2.
6. Reinsert O-ring 3 if necessary.
7. Screw the union nut 1 to the butterfl y
valve body 4 again.

8. Connect the other side of the butterfl y
valve body 5 to the piping 2, too.
Observe appropriate regulations for
connections!
After the installation:
Reactivate all safety and protective

devices.

Control functions

The following control functions are available:
Control function 1
Normally closed (NC):
Butterfl y valve resting position: closed
by spring force. Activation of the actuator
(connector 2) opens the butterfl y valve.
When the actuator is vented, the butterfl y
valve is closed by spring force.
Control function 2
Normally open (NO):
Is achieved by assembling the actuator
on the butterfl y valve body with the disc
in the open position.
Butterfl y valve resting position: opened
by spring force. Activation of the actuator
(connector 2) closes the butterfl y valve.
When the actuator is vented, the butterfl y
valve is opened by spring force.
Control function 3
Double acting (DA):
Butterfl y valve resting position: no defi ned
normal position. The butterfl y valve is
opened and closed by activating the
respective control medium connectors
(connector 2: open / connector 4: close).
