Activation
Before the robotic mower can connect to the Internet and
transmit data to the iMow App, the unit must be unlocked by
an authorized STIHL iMow servicing dealer. The dealer can
also guide you through the registration and activation
process. During activation, you will be asked for an email
address and password. Keep this information in a secure
location.
Data Transmission
Cellular data transmission to and from the robotic mower is
included in the purchase price.
Data transmission is not continuous, and there may be a lag
between mowing activity and the information displayed in
the app.
Your wireless plan's standard usage and data rates will
apply when accessing the STIHL iMow App on your
smartphone, tablet or other mobile device.
The use and availability of wireless cellular and GPS
connections depend on third-party products and services. If
these third-party products and services do not operate in a
reliable manner, they may impact the way your STIHL
connected product and iMow App operate. STIHL makes no
representation or warranty about the operation, use, safety
or reliability of any third-party products and services. STIHL
is not responsible for damages or losses due to the
operation of third-party products and services, including any
personal injury, property damage, interruption of service,
downtime, data loss or any other harm or loss arising from
or relating to your use of any third-party products and
services or apps.
NOTICE
If the connection to the cellular network is lost, the unit will
still remain active, but the operator will not receive email,
SMS or in-app notifications. The GPS protection feature will
remain active.

WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury, keep bystanders,
especially children, and pets out of the mowing area during
operation. Do not operate the mower when children or pets
are or may be in the mowing area or vicinity.

17 During Operation

17.1 Automatic Mowing

WARNING
Keep bystanders, especially children, and pets out of the
mowing area during active times. Never allow children to
approach or play with the robotic mower. Keep children and
pets away from the mower while it is in operation. Never
allow the robotic mower to operate if you know that animals
or persons are or may be in the mowing area or vicinity.
When automatic mowing is switched on, the robotic mower
independently leaves the docking station and mows the lawn
during the active times set by the operator, @ 14.6. The
number and duration of the mowing and charging operations
within the active times are determined automatically.
The mowing plan is determined based on the size of the
mowing area, which is calculated during installation or
during the creation of a new mowing plan.
When you switch on automatic mowing, the display
shows the automatic mowing symbol next to the
battery symbol.
► Define starting points within linked areas to ensure that
linked areas will be mowed regularly.
