4.4.9 Request to speak slowly
To indicate the chairman or the current speaker to
speak slowly, the interpreter desk provides the
possibility to switch on an indicator at (for example) the
chairman or speaker position (see section 4.5.6.12).
Press-and-hold the Slow key to switch the indicator on
(see figure 4.14). Release the Slow key to switch the
indicator off. If the speak slowly function is available,
the following text appears in the top line of the display:
Requesting current speaker to slow down

If the speak slowly function is not available, the text
NOT AVAILABLE is displayed in the top line of the
display.

4.4.10 Request for help
To indicate that assistance is needed, the interpreter
desk provides the possibility to switch on an indicator at
(for example) the chairman or operator position (see
section 4.5.6.13). Press-and-hold the Help key to switch
the indicator on (see figure 4.15). Release the Help key
to switch the indicator off. If the request for assistance
function is available, the following text appears in the
top line of the display:

If the request for assistance function is not available, the
text NOT AVAILABLE is displayed in the top line of the
display.
4.4.11 Using the speech timer
If programmed (see section 4.5.6.14), a speech timer is
available on the display.

The timer resets to zero and starts counting when the
microphone is switched from 'off' to 'on'. When the
microphone is switched back to 'off', the timer stops and
the time remains on the display.
Note
The mute key does not have any effect on the
timer.
