TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Problem
10.Excessive mix leakage
into the long drip pan.
11.The driveshaft is stuck
in the drive coupling.

Probable Cause
a. The seal on driveshaft is
improperly lubricated or worn.
b. The seal is installed inside out on
the driveshaft.
c. Inadequate lubrication of the
driveshaft.
d. The driveshaft and beater
assembly work forward.
e. Worn rear shell bearing.
f. Gearbox out of alignment.
a. Mix and lubricant collected in drive
coupling.
b. Rounded corners of driveshaft,
drive coupling, or both.
c. Gearbox is out of alignment.
a. Missing or worn front bearing and
beater shoes.
b. Scraper blades are damaged.
c. Machine was placed in Auto before
all sanitizing solution was removed
from freezing cylinder.
d. Broken freezer door baffle rod.
e. Broken beater pins.
f. Beater assembly is bent.
g. Gearbox is out of alignment.
a. Soft Serve: Draw rate is set too
fast.
b. Pump assembled incorrectly.
c. Freezing cylinder not primed
correctly.
a. Machine is unplugged.
b. Circuit breaker OFF or blown fuse.
a. If enabled, the machine has
detected that the product over
allowable temperature.
b. A barrel or hopper thermistor is
faulty.
a. Pump motor is not running.
a. Draw valve is not fully closed.

Remedy
a. Lubricate properly or replace the seal.
b. Install correctly.
c. Lubricate properly.
d. Contact a Taylor service technician.
e. Contact a Taylor service technician.
f. Contact a Taylor service technician.
a. Brush-clean the rear shell bearing
area regularly.
b. Contact a Taylor service technician.
c. Contact a Taylor service technician.
a. Install or replace the front bearing and
beater shoes.
b. Replace scraper blades.
c. Place machine in Auto only after
priming is complete and all sanitizing
solution is removed.
d. Replace freezer door.
e. Replace beater assembly.
f. Replace beater assembly.
g. Contact a Taylor service technician.
a. Soft Serve: Adjust draw rate of 5 oz.
to 7-1/2 oz. (148 ml to 222 ml) of
product by weight in 10 seconds.
b. Assemble and lubricate according to
instructions in this manual.
c. Drain the freezing cylinder and
reprime the machine.
a. Plug into wall receptacle.
b. Turn the breaker ON or replace the
fuse.
a. The machine must be brush-cleaned.
b. Contact a Taylor service technician.
a. Push the pump reset button.
a. Raise the draw handle so the draw
valve is closed all the way.
