Notes:
• A plastic DLC cover may be found for some vehicles and you need to remove it
before plugging the diagnostic cable.
• The cable connector is keyed and will only fit one way. If you have problems
connecting the cable connector to the DLC, rotate the connector 180
again.
4). Turn the ignition on. Engine can be off or running.
CAUTION: Don't connect or disconnect any test equipment with the ignition
on or engine running.
5). The system automatically turns on and navigates to the main menu screen.

6.2 Start oBd diagnostics

After the tool is properly connected to the vehicle's DLC, select
main menu screen and press oK. The tool will automatically start a check of
the vehicle's computer to determine which type of communication protocol it
is using. When the tool identifies the computer's communication protocol, a
communication link is established and then the screen will display the Monitor
Status.
Note: A PROTOCOL is a set of rules and procedures for regulating data
transmission between computers, and between testing equipment and computers.
Now five different types of protocols (ISO 9141, Keyword 2000, J1850 PWM, J1850
VPW and CAN) are in use by vehicle manufacturers.

It mainly includes the following functions:
1. read Codes
This function allows you to view the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
retrieved from the vehicle's on-board computer.
Note: Never replace a part based only on the DTC definition. Each DTC has
a set of testing procedures, instructions and flow charts that must be followed
to confirm the location of the problem. This information is found in the vehicle's
service manual. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for detailed testing
instructions.
Select read Codes from the Diagnostic Menu and press oK. The system will
