Invacare® Sonata
Installing the side rail
1.
Pull out the pin and mount the bracket on the side rail.
Make sure the pin locks the bracket and that the finger
screw is on the outside of the side rail.
2. Do the same thing on the other side.
3. The installation on the bed must be done with the side
rail in locked position.
4.
Loosen the finger screws A on both brackets of the
side rail.
5.
Place the side rail on the frame as close as possible to
the head end of the bed and tighten the finger screws
on both brackets.
IMPORTANT!
Risk of squeezing or entrapment
– The distance between the side rail and the
head bed end must be smaller than 6 cm.
IMPORTANT!
Make sure the side rail is properly locked.
– Verify that the locking pins are in place and
that the finger screws are properly tightened.

3.6.3 Flora side rail

The Flora side rail is only compatible with Camila bed ends.
Installing the side rail
WARNING!
Risk of entrapment / suffocation
The user can get trapped or fall out of the bed if
the side rail is not correctly mounted or damaged.
– Make sure that all gliding shoes are correctly
guided into the bed end guideways.
– Make sure that the locking screw and tab
are properly installed at the bottom of the
guideways.
Assembling the gliding system
1.
Push the pawl A from the backside, through the glider
B and make sure it locks with an audible click.
2. Do the same for all four pawls in each glider.
Attaching the gliding system and installing the side rail
1. Raise the bed to 1/3 of full height.
2.
Loosen the screw and tab at the bottom of the
guideways on one of the bed ends and push the glider
halfway up into the guideway until it attaches with an
audible click.
3.
Push the upper side rail onto the two upper pawls.
