3.4 Mounting cranks/motors

IMPORTANT!
If the pipe pin is not properly mounted the bed
will not function as intended.
– Make sure the pipe pin is correctly mounted
through all holes in each joint and properly
locked with the brace.
– Make sure that the pipe pin is mounted in the
correct hole in the bed bracket.

3.4.1 Manually operated mattress support

Mattress support; non-detachable (two or four sections)
No motors used. Crank/tubes already mounted.
Mattress support; detachable (four sections)
No motors used. Crank/tubes for leg section already
mounted. Backrest crank/tube needs mounting.
Mounting of backrest crank/tube

Join the backrest crank/tube with the backrest bracket,
using a pipe pin in the hole of the bracket.

3.4.2 Electrically operated mattress support

The longer motor (assembled on the control box) operates
the backrest.
The shorter motor operates the leg section.

Join the leg section tube with the leg section bracket,
using a pipe pin in the upper hole of the bracket.

Join the backrest tube with the backrest bracket, using a
pipe pin in the hole of the bracket.

Connect the section motor wires to the control box.
Backrest motor to socket 1.
Leg section motor to socket 2.

Attach the locking cam over all motor plugs.

3.5 Mounting of bed ends and legs

Depending on the configuration of the bed, the
mattress support is either equipped with or without
a bayonet system to mount the bed ends, which
results in different options for bed ends and legs.
- Bed ends with integrated legs with bayonet system.
- Bed ends with integrated legs and brackets for
mounting on the side tubes.
- Bed ends with brackets for mounting on the side
tubes in combination with separate legs mounted on
the mattress support platform.
CAUTION!
Different height fixation of legs can cause
instability in the bed
On the bayonet system the mattress support
platform can be fixed to the bed ends in two
different heights.
Legs with adjustable height can be fixed in three
different heights.
– Before using the bed, make sure that all
fixations are set to the same height on all four
legs.
Bed end with integrated legs and bayonet system
Latch the mattress support to the bed ends and press firmly
into position. Do this one end at a time.
