Other Functions (optional)

In this product, the various functions can be set by using the handy-controller (SF-HC)
(optional).
The settable functions are as follows.
Refer to the instruction manual of the handy-controller for the details of the function setting.
Some of the functions change the setting contents relating to the safety distance,
such as the size of the min. sensing object or the response time etc. Therefore,
when each function is set, calculate the safety distance again and maintain the
safety distance which is equal to greater than the safety distance.
If the sufficient distance is not maintained, the machine will not stop before its
dangerous parts are reached, which can result in serious injury or death.
 Fixed blanking function
The control output (OSSD 1, OSSD 2) is not turned off when specified beam channels
are blocked.
The function is set as unavailable at the shipping.
 Floating blanking function
The control output (OSSD 1, OSSD 2) is not turned off when the number of beam
channel(s) blocked is less than the set number of beam channel(s) previously.
The number of the settable ineffective beam channel is one beam channel, two beam
channels or three beams.
The fixed blanking function and the floating blanking function can be set at the same
time.
This function is set as unavailable at the shipping.
 Emitting light amount control function
By controlling the emitting light amount, two level of setting, normal mode or short mode,
is possible.
The function is set as normal mode at the shipping.
 Auxiliary output switching function (Non-safety output)
The following outputs can be selected as auxiliary outputs.
1. Negative logic of the control output (OSSD 1, OSSD 2) (Initial setting at factory
shipping)
2. Positive logic of the control output (OSSD 1, OSSD 2)
3. When light is emitted: Output OFF, when light is not emitted: Output ON
4. When light is emitted: Output ON, when light is not emitted: Output OFF
 Protecting function
This protecting function does not change the sensor setting without inputting a password.
