A
NAV 1G/PoE+ port
(see
Ethernet LAN on which one or more encoders also reside for
streaming, control, and PoE+.

RJ-45 connectors
The Extension port (
RJ-45 port LEDs for both ports indicate as follows:
Act (amber) LED — Indicates transmission of data packets on the RJ-45
connector. This LED blinks as the decoder communicates.
Link (green) LED — Indicates that the decoder is properly connected to
an Ethernet LAN. This LED lights steadily.

HDMI output port
— Connect an HDMI cable between this port and
an HDMI display. See
LockIt Lacing Brackets
HDMI Cable Lacing Bracket to secure the connector to the decoder.

Audio output port
— This 5-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
outputs the streamed, unamplified, line level analog audio. Connect an
audio device, such as an audio amplifier or powered speakers (see

Control (RS-232/IR port
IR signal, or both to this 3.5 mm, 5-pole captive screw connector for
bidirectional RS-232 and IR communication (see
wiring
on page 9 to wire the connector).

USB 2.0 port
(NAV SD 501 only) — Connect a USB Type-C cable from a
USB host or a USB device. See
USB connector to the decoder.
NOTE: This connector is limited to supplying 500 mA in USB device mode.

Extension port
(NAV SD 501 only) — If desired, connect another
networked device to this port. The port acts as a networked switch to the
NAV 1G/PoE+ port (

Reset button and LED

decoder reset. For the different reset levels, press and hold the button while the
decoder is running or while you power up the decoder (see
on page 15 for details).
Power connector
— Plug the included external 12 VDC power supply into this

NOTE: Alternatively, the decoder can be powered via PoE+.
