WORKING

Control box is provided of some equipment to permit the maintaining switch and limit switches on the extreme posi-
tions. Moreover, two micro-switches in order to avoid motor manoeuvre first when lever is HANDLE on the lever MOTOR/
HANDLE (MM) and second when the crank-handle is grafted.
The complete tap changing operation is performed by an electrical impulse by the push-buttons 1-N / N-1 installed on
the control box 1.12.310, with the selector switch LOCAL/REMOTE (SA1) on the position LOCAL, or from distance (i.e.
control room) with the selector switch on the REMOTE position.
On the extreme positions (minimum and maximum) are connected the limit switches that avoid other tap changing
operations in the same direction to go beyond the latest position. Mechanical stops are also provided after minimum
and maximum positions.

STARTING SERVICE

Before to power supply the transformer is necessary check that all equipment and fittings had been connected, fol-
lowing the wiring auxiliary and motor diagram and the shaft connection drawing.
Before to perform any handle or motor tap changing operation you have to pin the shaft on the top of control box, with
the brass lever between 2 micro-switches SF3-SF4 in horizontal position and with tap changer in central position.
After that, before to carry out electrical operation of the no-load tap changer control box, hand operation must be carried
out over the whole range of positions, using the hand crank (CH), to ensure that all equipment is well connected.
After getting to the minimum and maximum positions, continue the crank handle (CH) rotation in order to check the
correct contact of the mechanical stops. They must avoid further hand rotation after the extreme positions.
After that is INDISPENSABLE operating with the crank handle (CH) s long as tap changer will be in the central position.
N.B. With crank-handle connected, the motor drive electric circuit remains open.

CHECK

The control box 1.12.310 is provided with a relays device which signals when the phase cyclic sense is wrong on the
three-phase motor circuit. This device comes into function at first running impulse on the 1-N / N-1 push buttons.
In case the phase cyclic sense is wrong, the control system is blocked almost immediately, and it is necessary to turn
off both feedings (the three-phase and the single-phase one) and reverse 2 phases of the three phase feeding. Turn
on both feedings again (the three-phase and the single-phase one) and repeat the electrical manoeuvre in the same
running sense. This device allows you to avoid an energy supply to the motor with the phase wires (R-S-T) reversed.
The signal lamp (HL1) positioned on the internal door, when it is switched-off, it means that the three-phase are
correctly connected.
In any case of stop out of position, micro-switches SF3 or SF4 (L) remain pushed; then is necessary to bring-back
manually, by crank-handle, the tap changer on previous position, before electrically operate.
Proceed putting the lever MOTOR/HANDLE (MM), on position HANDLE and by the crank handle (CH), turn the shaft up
to reach one position. After that, remove the crank handle (CH); bring back the lever MOTOR/HANDLE (MM) on position
MOTOR. Now is possible operating by electrical push-buttons (SH1/SH2).
