7. Stay clear of the end pieces that may fall after cutting. They may be hot, sharp, and heavy.
Serious personal injury could result.
8. Do not use cutting oil while cutting.
9. Put the safety guard over the tool's blade when not in use.
10. Handle the saw blade with care during installation and removal, and when removing the
diamond knockout.
11. Do not start the tool while the blade is touching the workpiece.
12. Hold the tool by its insulated gripping surfaces while performing a cutting operation that
could cause the cutting tool to come into contact with hidden wiring or with its own cord.
Contact with a "live" wire will make the exposed metal parts of the tool electrically charged,
and the "live" metal parts will shock the operator.
13. When ripping, always use a rip fence or a straight edge guide. This will improve the accuracy
of the cut, and will reduce the chance of blade binding.
14. Always use blades with the correct size and shape of arbor holes (diamond or round).
Blades that do not match the mounting hardware of the saw will run eccentrically, causing
loss of control.
15. Never use damaged or incorrectly sized washers or bolts to secure the blade. The
blade's washers and bolt were specially designed for your saw, and they provide optimal
performance and safe operation.
16. Do not use the tool on any material containing asbestos.
17. Avoid cutting nails. Inspect the workpiece for any nails, and remove them before cutting.
18. Do not touch the blade or the surface that has been cut with this tool immediately after a
cutting operation. The surface will be hot and may cause an injury.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

1. Disconnect the tool from the power supply when not in use, and before cleaning, servicing,
or changing any parts or accessories.
2. Protect yourself against electrical shocks when working on electric equipment. Avoid body
contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cooking stoves, and refrigerators.
There is an increased chance of electrical shock if your body is grounded.
3. Double insulated tools are equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fully fit in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install a polarized
outlet. Do not change the plug in any way. Double insulation eliminates the need for a three-
wire grounded power cord and grounded power supply system.
4. Grounded tools must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded in
accordance with all codes and ordinances. Never remove the grounding prong or modify the
plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs. Check with a qualified electrician if you are in
doubt about an outlet being properly grounded. If the tool should electronically malfunction
or break down, grounding provides a low resistance path to carry electricity away from
the user.
5. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to carry tools or to pull the plug from an outlet.
Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Do not operate this tool if
the power cord is frayed or damaged. Replace damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords
increase the risk of electrical shock. Do not modify the plug in any way.
