�. Clip plane: Remove unwanted plane in the scene such as turntable, desktop or floor. But if
you want to scan planes or objects containing planes, please untick this option.
�. �D model preview window: display the �D model, and you can drag or zoom the model in
the �D model preview area by Mouse.
Mouse button: Left : Rotate the model; Wheel: Zoom in/out.
�. RGB backgroup : hide or show the background of �D Model Preview Area;
�. Home: reset the model to default position of �D Model Preview Area, the image center of
the area.
��. Frame count: show frame number of currently matched �D model data. And the maxi-
mum number of frames that can be scanned continuously are determined by the memory of
the computer or mobile phone. Refer to the FAQ for details.
��. Point Cloud RGB Preview:Turn the point cloud RGB color preview switch on, the �D point
cloud shown is coloured; turn it off, the point cloud model shown will be monochromatic.
Scan Mode Introduction
The difference among these � options are mainly exposure and gain settings:
Applications:
Feature mode: this is a general mode applied to scan objects with shape features such as
sculptures. In this mode, you need to adjust exposure and gain to appropriate values
according to object surface reflectivity. For instance, if you scan a white sculpture, it is good
to take gain as � and exposure as ��. If you scan a colored object or a live human face, it is
good to take gain as � and exposure as ��. If you scan a dark object like a black t-shirt,
taking gain as � and exposure as �� may be a better choice.
