device may specify fuse ratings to ensure correct operation of the over-current
protection device. Ensure that the fuse used is suitable for the starting currents given on
the motor rating plate.
The diameter of the outer sheath of the electrical supply cable must be within the range
7 mm to 10.5 mm. The cable must conform in size and colour coding with the local and
national electrical installation regulations. The temperature rating of the cable must be
70 °C or greater.

4.6.1 Amphenol version single-phase motors

When selecting the mating half of the amphenol connector, please ensure that it is
compatible.
The protective earth (ground) connection is required to make first and break last with
respect to the other connections.
Connect the electrical supply cable to the appropriate pins as shown in
phase motors with Amphenol connector: 220-240 V 50 Hz and 230-240 V 60 Hz on page
23.
