5.5 Using the Foot Pedals

A set of three foot pedals operates the hydraulic system that
controls the height and angle of the table top. The label in
Figure 9 is located on the table base above the pedals and
provides important reminders about operating the table.
Notee:
It is important that table operators read this manual

to gain a full understanding of pedal operation.
important
The instructional label does NOT contain complete
instructions for using the table. The label is NOT a
substitute for reading this manual and practicing with
the table before using it in service.
5.6 raising and lowering
The Table Top
The height of the table top is controlled with foot pedals that
raise and lower the jacks.
raising THe Table TOP
To raise the table top, pump the left foot pedal (Figure 10).
Do not pull up on the table top with your hands. This can
force air into the hydraulic system. (See Troubleshooting,
page 14).
Do not continue pumping the left pedal after the table top
has stopped moving upward. This can cause the hydraulics
to stick. (See Troubleshooting, page 14.)
lOWering THe Table TOP
To lower the table top, push down on the center and right
foot pedals at the same time (Figure 11).
important
Do not try to raise the table top by pulling it up with
your hands as this can force air into the hydraulic
system. Always raise the table top by pumping the left
foot pedal.
important
Do not try to raise the table top beyond its maximum
height as this can cause the hydraulics to stick. Stop
pumping the left pedal when the table top stops
moving upward.
