The FAÏAL has been tested according to the EN 926-2 2006 standard
equipped with harnesses featuring roll dampening systems.
Nervures harnesses « Airtrek » and « Bivouac » are equipped with such sys-
tems.
The Nervures « Expe » harness is also suitable .
The FAÏAL is delivered with a 4 branches riser system of 450 mm
length fitted with an accelerator.
When fully pulled, the A branch is shortened of 160 mm, B of 120 mm and C
of 40 mm.
Avoid utilisation of the speed system when flying in turbulent conditions unless
the ears are pulled
For paramotoring, The FAÏAL is delivered with risers equipped with a
trim system. The normal flight configuration is fully pulled trims strap position
which corresponds to the EN 926-2 tested geometry.
The fact of releasing the trims induces the same modification of geometry as
an action on the speed bar system of the paraglider version. The path of trims
is limited to 160 mm.
The pilot will progressively explore this trims path in accordance with flight
conditions and will dedicate the released positions (more than 120 mm) to
calm air.
It is necessary to keep in mind that for the same path, there a difference be-
tween trims release (permanent action lasting during the recovering ma-
noeuvres from a flight incident) and the action on a speed bar system (action
instantaneously stopped as soon as the flight incident occurs).
Consequently, the results obtained through EN 926-2 accelerated manoeu-
vres, if they constitute a good indication, can not be considered as a true ho-
mologation of the paramotor version with trims released.
