WARNING:
Frequently check the level of fluid in the reservoir whilst bleedin g
the braking system.

Remove the dust cap from the right-hand front bleed nipple and f i t a bleed
pipe from the nipple to a suitable container.

Slacken the bleed nipple by one turn and depress the brake pedal slowly

Continue to operate the brake pedal until the fluid entering the container i s
clean and free of any air bubbles.
Depress the brake pedal once more slowly and close the nipple at the end of

Remove bleed pipe and replace dust cap.

Perform the same procedure on the left-hand front bleed ni pp le, followed by
the ri g ht-hand rear then the left-hand rear.

MASTER CYLINDER

To Remove

Place a receptacle under the master cylinder to collect any fluid escaping
during removal.
2.
Disconnect the two pipes from the master cylinder and insert plugs i n the
pipes to prevent ingress of foreign matter.
Disconnect the electrical connections to the reservoir cap.

Remove the two nuts and spring washers securing the master cylinder to the
servo unit and remove the master cylinder.
To Replace
Reverse the removal procedure, then bleed the system as previously
described. Tighten a l l the securing nuts to the torques specified i n the
TECHNICAL DATA.
