9. Maintenance and
troubleshooting
NOTE:
For all factory repairs, customers must get an RMA number. Customers must also properly fill
out a "Declaration of Hazardous Material and Decontamination" form and comply with the
requirements specified in it. Refer to the
information.

9.1 Maintenance

The CS240 and CS240DM sensors require minimal maintenance. Periodically check cabling for
proper connections, signs of damage, and possible moisture intrusion.
9.2 Troubleshooting
Symptom: Temperature is NAN, –INF, –9999, –273
Verify wiring of sensor to the data logger; cross-reference data logger program or the
measurement system wiring diagram.
Symptom: Incorrect Temperature
Check the cable for signs of damage and possible moisture intrusion.
Symptom: Unstable Temperature
Make sure the clear shield wire is connected to data logger ground, and the data logger is
properly grounded. For the CS240, try using the 60 or 50 Hz integration options and/or
increasing the settling time.
