Chain tensioning
Check the chain tension from time to time and retighten if it is loose.
•
Loosen lock nut on "Set screw 2" (2) and unscrew "Set screw 2" (2) slightly.
•
Loosen lock nut on "Set screws 1" (1) and screw in "Set screws 1" (1) until the chain (4) has sufficient tension.
•
Make sure that the V-belt pulley (3) and the chain are parallel to each other in their horizontal planes.
•
If this is not the case, the parallelism of the belt pulley and chain (4) must be adjusted via the "set screw 2".
•
First retighten the lock nut on "Set screws 1" (1) and then retighten the lock nut on "Set screw 2" (2).
The chain tension and V-belt tension should always be adjusted synchronously!
