ip address

Command Mode: Interface
Description
Assign an IP address to an interface. To remove an IP address or
disable IP processing, use the no form of this command.
Command Syntax
ip address <ip-address> <mask>
[no] ip address <ip-address> <mask>

Definition
The IP address assigned to the interface.
Mask for the associated IP subnet.
Sample Output
This example assigns IP address 170.180.5.33 to serial
interface 1.
Cajun (config)# interface serial1
Cajun (config-if:serial1) # ip address
170.180.5.33
