3. If the appropriate flag is programmed (Programming mode, group Register), the
subtotal is mandatory prior to ending the sale. You can surcharge/discount the
subtotal or void the entire sale by voiding the subtotal.

Register - window description
Individual parts of the register window are shown in the figure 4.1. The window contains seve-
ral elements (number of sold items indicator, unit price, immediate subtotal), buttons (help,
PLU look-up, exit from register mode and basic register operations such as subtotal, total,
surcharge/discount, or voids), input text row, and the electronic version of the receipt.

Item sale
The basic sale of a PLU is possible in three ways (depending on equipment).
enter PLU/barcode using keyboard and press PLU key
scan the bar-code using the bar-code scanner (this method
requires properly connected and configured bar-code scan-
ner)
press the button for PLU list and pick up the appropriate
PLU (see the next subchapter)
