GENERATOR/CHARGING SYSTEM
FLYWHEEL/FUEL CUT/CHARGE COIL/POWER COIL REMOVAL/
INSTALLATION
Remove the following:
– Fan cover (page 7-9)
– Ignition coil (page 8-4)
FUEL CUT/CHARGE COIL
POWER COIL
EG3600CX/EG4000CX:
BOLT (6 x 25 mm)
Except EG3600CX/EG4000CX:
BOLT (6 x 35 mm)
FLYWHEEL
Except
EG5500CXS/
EG6500CXS:
7-10
EG3600CX/EG4000CX:
BOLT (6 x 35 mm)
Except EG3600CX/EG4000CX:
BOLT (6 x 45 mm)
CORD GROMMET
COOLING FAN
INSTALLATION:
Attach the cooling fan to
the flywheel by aligning
the three projections of
cooling fan with the
holes of flywheel.
REMOVAL:
EG5500CXS/
• Before removing the flywheel,
EG6500CXS:
remove the ignition coil.
• Use the special tool to
remove the flywheel. Do not hit
the flywheel with a hammer.
INSTALLATION:
Before installing, degrease the
tapered surface of the flywheel
and crankshaft.

(6 x 12 mm)
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION:
Hold the flywheel by passing the starter
pulley side holes using a suitable tool
into the pulley.
TORQUE:
113 N·m (11.5 kgf·m, 83 lbf·ft)
STARTER PULLEY
INSTALLATION:
Attach the starter pulley to the
cooling fan by aligning the hole
of starter pulley with the
projection of cooling fan.
