10.0 Determination of G-values

The centrifuging radius of the 1.5/2.0 mL rotor is 8.23 cm. The Prism™ Microcentrifuge has an automatic
g-force conversion program, so g-values are automatically calculated and can be displayed on the control
panel, for this centrifuging radius. If adapters or smaller tubes are used, the centrifuging radius changes
as does the g force. The chart on the next page can be used to manually determine g-values for any
centrifuging radius.
