Selecting Continuous Mode With Measurement History
a. Select a Daily Auto-Store interval. At the end of the Auto-Store
interval, the 831C saves the measurement record to a new,
incrementally-named, data file throughout the day based on the
Time (hh:mm:ss). Time is the time of day you want to begin
auto-storing measurement records.
If you want to store a measurement record each hour of the day
TRY THIS
beginning at 10:05, choose the following settings:
•
•
If you start the measurement at 10:10, the measurement record stores
at 11:05, 12:05, and so forth. In this case, the initial measurement
history record has only 50 minutes of data, while all others contain the
full hour.
b. If desired, select Cal. Check, and enter the Time of day it
should occur.
c. Select the Enable Measurement History checkbox, and enter a
duration (hh:mm) for each measurement record in the Interval
Time field. Note: Interval Time cannot be less than 00:01 (1
minute).
d. If desired, select Interval Time Sync. This forces a new
measurement record to begin every n minutes (or hours), where
n is the value of Interval Time.

e. If you want to send a measurement interval exceedance alert,
select a checkbox in-line with Alerts.
