Storage. : SAN Snapshot Management
This page appears if you click on any existing Pool and then on an existing SAN. Volume.
and Snapshot. Node.. This page displays a list of all the snapshots of the selected Volume.
Field/Button
Description
Snapshot. Name
This field displays the name of the Snapshot..
Status
Mounted/In Use
Deleting
Unmounted/Not-in-Use
Failed
Type
This field displays the type of Snapshot. being used. The default is Redirect on Write
(ROW) but a writable ROW type can also be created.
Creation Time
This field displays when the Snapshot. Volume. was created.
Target
This field displays the target assigned to that particular snapshot (to be used for backup
purposes if necessary). Otherwise it will display Assign Target. if no Target is assigned.
Rollback
Click on this link to restore this snapshot to the volume. Note that this will require all
initiators to be disconnected from the target, and all I/Os to be stopped.
Create Snapshot.
Select this button to create a snapshot.

Delete button
Select this button to delete a snapshot.
Delete All button
Select this button to delete all your snapshots.
When you click on a snapshot, you can create a writable snapshot and so on. The
following information will appear.

Advanced Caching
This field allows you to modify the Advanced Caching (if applicable)
Capacity.
This field displays the capacity of the Snapshot. Volume..
Type
This field displays the type of Snapshot. being used. The default is Redirect on Write
(ROW).
Provision Type
This field displays the provisioning type being used on the Snapshot. Volume.. It can be
either Thin or Exact Provisioning.
Create writeable
Enable this box and enter the new snapshot name if you wish to modify the contents of
snapshot

Date Time Created
This field displays when the Snapshot. Volume. was created.
The Snapshot. Volume. is mounted and ready to use.
The Snapshot. Volume. is deleting.
The Snapshot. Volume. is not mounted and is not in use.

The Snapshot. Volume. is deleting.
