ManageTrends Hardware Health Information

On the top bar there is a health icon. Click on the Hardware Heath icon to view the
Hardware Health Information screen. This page displays all information relevant to the
hardware health of your ManageTrends box. Here you can view the current status of the
system's fans, temperatures and motherboard voltages.
Event entries (for example, alerts via emails or SNMP traps – if so configured) will be
generated if certain preset thresholds are reached for all monitored sensors. If you wish to
make threshold adjustments please refer to the hardware documentation that came with
your Storage Appliance.

ManageTrends Management Tree

Menu Item
Description

Logout

Allows you to log out.
Event Log
Displays the event log.
RAID Management
Allows you to configure RAID arrays using Software RAID and supported H/W RAID
controllers.
Storage
Allows you to configure and view the created storage pools, volumes, shares and targets.
Control Panel
These are Storage Appliance related settings, such as iSNS, iSCSI, NAS and other
settings.
Logout
Allows you to log out of the Storage Appliance.

Box Level Event Log

This page allows you to view the all event logs stored on your Storage Appliance. The
Storage Appliance can store up to 65535 log entries after which the FIFO principle
applies to the entries in the log But the UI will only display the last 5000.
Note:
You can sort by date. You can also select the category and/or type of events that you
want to filter for.
Button
Description
Save as XML button
This button allows you to export the event log as an XML file so that you can import it in
any XML aware application. For example, Microsoft® Office® Excel® program.
Save as Text button
This button allows you to export the event log as a plain text file so that you can view it in
a standard word processor application.
Refresh button
When you select this button the Storage Appliance queries the event logs and lists any new
events.
Clear All button
This button deletes all event logs present in the Storage Appliance.
