(6)How to correct magnetic declination
Enter magnetic declination in order to match the magnetic north measured with
a magnetic compass with the true north.
The correction value diff ers depending on the latitude and longitude to be mea-
sured. Set the magnetic declination correction value shown on a map or the
website of the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan. For example, there is
a diff erence of approximately 4 to 9℃ depending on the region in Japan.

③ W hen you press Button Ⓒ and Button Ⓔ at the same time, the magnetic declination
correction value becomes 0° .

(7)How to carry out magnetic calibration (magnetic correction)
・ W hen placed in a strong magnetic environment, this product incorrectly de-
tects the magnetic north, and may not indicate correct direction. In this case,
carry out the magnetic correction by the following procedures.
【CAUTION】 C alibration may not be correctly carried out near permanent mag-
nets, home electric appliances and cellular phones. Keep the watch
level when calibrating.
① P ress and hold Button Ⓓ in the compass mode to switch to the magnetic dec-
lination correction state.
② I n the magnetic declination correction state, press Button Ⓑ to enter the mag-
netic calibration state. At this time, "CALIB" appears at the top row of the display.
③ P ress Button Ⓔ to start calibration.The graphic ( ■■■ ) moves on the outer
circumference, so rotate the body of the watch to fi x the moving direction
permanently.
④ W hen calibration is successful, "PASS" is displayed. Press Button Ⓑ to return
to the magnetic declination correction state.
⑤ W hen calibration is not correctly carried out, "Err" is displayed. In that case,
press Button Ⓑ to return to the magnetic declination correction state and start
the procedure from ② again.
⑥ W hen calibration is fi nished, press Button Ⓓ to return to the direction measure-
ment state. Even if Button Ⓓ is not pressed, the display returns to the direc-
tion measurement state within 2 to 3 minutes.
How to use mountaineering plan sunrise and sunset time mode
Ⓔ
From the location information of the destination set in the mountaineering plan,
the sunrise and sunset times at the destination are displayed.
※ T o use this function, it is necessary to register mountaineering plans created by the exclusive ap-
plication to the body of the watch.
※ T he sunrise and sunset times are calculated based on the information of latitude, longitude, and
altitude at the destination of the mountaineering plan.
※ T he sunrise and sunset times are displayed according to the altitude information entered. If such
information is not entered, the times when the altitude is 0 m above sea level are displayed.
