Slot Flags (Slot update status)—Controls whether the controller

sends commands to the SEP to update the status of each storage
enclosure slot. The default setting is ON, which means that the
controller requests status updates from the storage enclosure.
Global Flags (Enclosure update status)—Controls whether the
I
controller sends commands to the SEP to update the overall
status of the storage enclosure. The default setting is OFF, which
means that the controller does not request status updates from
the storage enclosure.
To change the SEP settings
1 Press Menu, choose Controller Menu, then press Enter.
2 Choose the desired controller, then press Enter.
3 Choose Config Menu, then press Enter.
4 Choose SEP Configuration, then press Enter.
5 Choose SEP Settings, then press Enter.

6 Use and
press Enter.
7 Choose the option you want, then press Enter.
8 Choose whether you want the SEP to send slot status updates to
the controller, then press Enter.
9 Choose whether you want the SEP to send enclosure status
updates to the controller, then press Enter.
The system asks you to confirm the changes.
10 Choose Y, then press Enter.
